Building Mobile binaries

Overview

This guide covers the steps and options for building mobile binary files for Appivo applications. Mobile binary files are what is installed when an app is downloaded and installed on a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet. Mobile binaries are also required for applications to be listed on the Google Play Store (for Android) and Apple App Store (for iOS).

App Store Connect

App Store Connect is the platform that provides IOS app developers the ability to publish and track their app’s performance. An administrator must first configure one or more App Store Connect accounts before any iOS apps can be published to the Apple App Store. The App Store Connect service is part of the Apple developer program. https://developer.apple.com/programs/

From the My Apps page, go to the left menu, under Account > Accounts. Once you have created your app store connect account, add this information to your Appivo account. This is done through the tenant account settings in the accounts view.

Click > ADD Account to open a dialog box.

Description of fields:

Descriptions
Username
Enter the username. Username contains alphanumeric characters and hyphens. Names are not case sensitive.
Alias
Enter an alternate name. Alias contains alphanumeric characters and hyphens. Names are not case sensitive.
Team ID
Enter the team id. Team ID contains numbers and hyphens.
App Store Connect Team ID
Enter the app store connect team ID.
Team Name
Enter a team name. Name contains alphanumeric characters and hyphens. Names are not case sensitive.
Key id
Enter the Key id. Key ID contains numbers and hyphens.
Issuer id
Enter the Issuer id. Issuer ID contains alphanumeric characters and hyphens. Names are not case sensitive.
API Key file(.p8)
Enter the API Key file. This file is created by app store connect.

Enterprise Team
Select the toggle button (if this is the case).

✰Note: Upload a key file to enable saving of this account.

After adding your app store connect account to the Appivo platform all app binaries created are uploaded to your app store connect account.
